- How to Better Preserve Quail Eggs
Quail eggs are small, but their nutritional value is not low. And it is a supplement that can be used in many dishes, so how to preserve quail eggs? Let’s take a look!
Fresh raw quail eggs preserved
1. There is independent storage space.
When there is no condition to refrigerate quail eggs, try to use clean paper or cloth to make quail egg-shaped cavities, so that each quail egg has an independent storage space, and avoid direct exposure to the air. This can reduce the chance of bacteria and microorganisms invading, and can extend the storage time of quail eggs.
2. Quail eggs should not be shipped together with volatile substances.
The strong smell of volatile substances such as green onions, ginger, and peppers will penetrate into the quail eggs through the pores on the eggshells, and accelerate the deterioration of the quail eggs.
3. Pay attention to the placement method
Put the big end up and the small end down, so that the egg yolk can float up and stick under the air chamber, which can prevent microorganisms from invading the egg yolk and help ensure the quality of the egg.
4. Do not rinse quail eggs with water before storing
The shell of some quail eggs is very dirty, and people like to store them after washing to avoid contaminating other foods. However, washing will destroy the original outer shell membrane of quail eggs, allowing bacteria and microorganisms to enter the eggs smoothly, and accelerate the deterioration of quail eggs. It can be wrapped in a fresh-keeping bag or film before placing it, and it will not cause pollution.
